The 2012 New Zealand National Basketball League season was the 31st running of the competition.

The Final Four weekend was held in Wellington, with the semi-finals on Saturday 26 May, followed by the grand final on Sunday 27 May.

The teams for this season were: Auckland Pirates, Harbour Heat, Hawke's Bay Hawks, Manawatu Jets, Nelson Giants, Otago Nuggets, Southland Sharks, Taranaki Mountainairs and Wellington Saints.
