21 Canum Venaticorum is a white A-type main sequence dwarf with a mean apparent magnitude of +5.14. It is approximately 275 light years from Earth. It is classified as an Alpha2 Canum Venaticorum type variable star and its brightness varies by 0.04 magnitudes.

This star has 2.55 times the mass of the Sun and 2.8 times the Sun's radius. It is radiating 63 times the luminosity of the Sun from its outer atmosphere at an effective temperature of 9,772 K.[1]
