46th Street Station is an elevated stop on the Market-Frankford Line, above the intersection of Farragut (between 46th and 47th streets) and Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the Mill Creek neighborhood of West Philadelphia.

46th Street Station is one of the original Market-Frankford Elevated stations built by the Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company in 1907. Immediately east of the station, the trains go underground into the Market Street Subway. A stub from when the elevated section used to continue along Market Street was once present, but was removed when the structure was replaced during renovations.[1] 46th Street Station was closed in June 2007 as part of SEPTA's reconstruction of the Market Street Elevated line. The station reopened on April 14, 2008.[2] The station runs along the south side of the 1926-built Provident Mutual Life Insurance building, which was converted into a Philadelphia Police Command Center in 2012.[3]
