Adam George (born 24 November 1989) is a British musician based in Manchester.

Early life

George was born in Manchester, England. He grew up in a suburb of Manchester and began playing music at the age of 10. Living with his Grandparents, he grew up listening to music from all eras but was particularly fond of the 1960s, especially The Beatles. George was trained classically as a musician on the piano and vocally and sang with the Hallé Youth Choir and Hallé Choir.

Early career

His musical training in popular music began in 2008 when he began his degree at the Royal Northern College of Music. Amongst his tutors at University were Jazz Trumpeter Neil Yates, session guitarist Johnny Heyes, bass guitarist Mauricio Pauly and session drummers Bryan Hargreaves and Andy Stott. After graduating in 2010, George co-founded the Manchester-based covers band, The Session.[1] This is where his love for blues music came and he began teaching himself the guitar. George had a lot of influences when he began playing the guitar, the main ones being Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

In 2012, he began building guitars, basing some on his idle's guitars such as Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Number One" and Eric Clapton's "Blackie" but George also experimented, most noticeably by bolting a Fender Stratocaster neck onto the body of a Gibson Les Paul, something not very many people would do out of choice as not only is it something not commonly done, but is particularly difficult to ensure it is playable.

In May 2012, George joined Soulvation, a soul, Motown and disco function band, as a keyboard player and vocalist and left in 2013. Soulvation continue to perform http://www.soulvation.co.uk/.

In August 2012, George joined blues and country band, Built For Comfort as a keyboard player and bass guitarist.

In June 2013, George co-founded the Manchester-based AC/DC covers band, Sin City as rhythm guitarist.
