Adrian Walker

Adrian Walker is an African-American metro columnist for The Boston Globe.[1] His column appears in the Metro section of the Globe on Mondays and Fridays.

Career

Walker began working as a Metro columnist in 1998. At The Boston Globe he is responsible for covering local and regional news along with society and culture.[2] He contributed to The Boston Globe's coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings, for which the Globe won a Pulitzer Prize in 2014. Prior to becoming a columnist, he covered local news as well as state and local politics. He was also the paper's deputy political editor from 1995 to 1997.

Controversy

On March 2, 2008, he was arrested on charges of driving under the influence. The charges were dismissed after Walker served one year of probation.[3]

A native of Miami, Walker began his career at The Miami News, which folded in 1988.
