Adur Narseh (Persian: آذرنرسه)‎‎) was the son of Hormizd II and the ninth king of the Sasanian Empire. Following his father's death, the nobles and Zoroastrian clergy saw an opportunity to gain influence within the Sasanian Empire. Thus, they murdered Adur Narseh, blinded one of his brothers and forced another brother to flee.[1] Another source states that he ruled several months before being killed because he was a tyrant.[2] He was succeeded by his unborn brother Shapur II.[3]
