Andrew Provand

Andrew Dryburgh Provand (1839 – 18 July 1915)[1] was a Scottish Liberal Party politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Glasgow Blackfriars and Hutchesontown from 1886 to 1900.

He won the seat in 1886, but lost it in 1900 to Bonar Law. He unsuccessfully tried to win it back in 1906.

In his time as an MP he was involved in debates over land taxation. He is buried in the graveyard at the Ramshorn Church in the Merchant City.
