American Council on Alcohol Problems
The American Council on Alcohol Problems is a federation of 37 state affiliates promoting the reduction of alcohol advertising, availability and consumption throughout the United States.
The Council was known as the Anti-Saloon League from 1893 until 1948 (when it was a leading national advocate of Prohibition), as the Temperance League until 1950, the National Temperance League until 1964, and now as the American Council on Alcohol Problems.

Membership
Membership in ACAP presently is made up of 30 local temperance organizations, 22 national Christian denominations, and other fraternal organizations that support ACAP's philosophy of abstinence.[1]
Partnership with Alcohol Policies Project
It partnered with George Hacker’s Alcohol Policies Project at the Center for Science in the Public Interest. It still partners with other temperance-oriented groups.
