Barnett was nominated for President of the United States by the Reform Party on August 12, 2012 at the party's National Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[1][9] Barnett's running mate was Ken Cross. The ticket was on the ballot in Florida and had write-in status in several other states. Barnett received 962 votes nationwide.
