Andrea Jean Hall (born October 31, 1947) is an American soap opera actress who has since retired from the genre.

Personal life

She is the twin sister of fellow soap actress, Deidre Hall. Both were born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, raised in Lake Worth, Florida and graduated in 1965 from Lake Worth High School.

Her current husband, Thomas Gengler, a former restaurateur, is a chain restaurant manager in Norfolk, Virginia. Andrea teaches Special Education in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They have an adopted daughter, Emily Allison Gengler from the Philippines..

Career

She is best known for her role as Samantha Evans on Days of Our Lives, which she played from 1977 to 1982. On the show, she played Samantha Evans, the twin sister of Deidre Hall's character, Marlena Evans. After a long hiatus, Andrea Hall returned to Days of Our Lives in 2000-01, playing Marlena-lookalike, Hattie Adams.
