On September 21, 2005, Protodeacon Bohdan was tonsured a monk in Chicago with the name Andriy (Andrew) and four days later was ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Vsevolod, who promoted him to the rank of hegumen.

A month later Fr. Bohdan was elevated to the rank of archimandrite in the Ukrainian Orthodox cathedral in London and on November 22, 2005, was elected Bishop of Krateia and auxiliary of the Ukrainian Orthodox Eparchy of Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand by the Holy Synod of the Constantinopolitan Orthodox Church.

On February 1, 2011, Andriy was appointed administrator ("acting bishop") of the UOCC's Eastern Eparchy, which oversees the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Ontario and Quebec.

Neither the transfer of Andriy from the Western European Eparchy to the Central Canadian Eparchy, or from the Central Canadian Eparchy to the Eastern Canadian Eparchy was recognized by the Church of Constantinople.
