Andries Jonker (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɑndris ˈjɔŋkər], 22 September 1962) is a Dutch football manager who works as the head of academy at Arsenal F.C. Prior to this, he was assistant manager of VfL Wolfsburg, manager and later sporting director of Willem II, MVV and Volendam and assistant coach of Barcelona. Jonker came to Bayern Munich as assistant to Louis van Gaal in July 2009, and took over as head coach on an interim basis from April 2011 until the end of the 2010–11 season.

Managerial career

FC Volendam

Jonker was manager of Volendam from 1 July 1999 to 30 June 2000.[1]

MVV Maastricht

Jonker was manager of Maastricht from 1 July 2003 to 30 June 2006.[2]

Willem II

Jonker was manager of Willem II from 5 November 2007 to 17 February 2009.[3]

Bayern Munich and Bayern Munich II

He came to Bayern Munich as assistant to Louis van Gaal in July 2009, and took over as head coach on an interim basis from April 2011 until the end of the 2010–11 season.[4] Jonker started as Bayern Munich II manager on 9 June 2011.[5] Jonker left the club when his contract expired on 30 June 2012.[6]

Arsenal

Jonker was announced as the new academy manager at Arsenal ahead of the 2014–15 season,[7] where he replaced Liam Brady.
