Anne of Green Gables was a 1919 American silent comedy-drama film directed by William Desmond Taylor. The film was based upon the novel of the same name by Lucy Maud Montgomery.[1] By 1999, all prints of the film were believed to have been lost.[2][3]

Production notes
Set in Prince Edward Island, Canada, the film was shot in Dedham, Massachusetts from August to October 1919 and released on November 23, 1919.[4]
