Antonio DeVity (1901–1993), born Reggio Calbria,[1] was an Italian painter born in Naples. He moved to Paris where he studied under Antoine Blanchard and with Giacomo Balla. He is known for pictures of Paris street life and also Venetian canals. During his time in Paris, he attended L'Ecole des Beaux Arts and exhibited at Notre Dame, le Café de la paix, and le Moulin Rouge.[2]

DeVity returned to Naples in 1950 and opened a studio that, within ten years, became a key meeting place for Neapolitan artists. More than 20 painters studied with him and he had exhibits in major international cities including 1953 in Bruxelles, 1955 in Marrakech, and 1956 in Madrid.[2] He spent his later life in Naples where his studio sold and exported works for many years.[3] His works are said to have won international awards and his pieces are widely collected.[1]
