Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. Aromal Chekaver (or Chevaker) was a legendary hero who is believed to have lived in northern Kerala, India, during the 16th century. He was a warrior figure of Vadakkan Pattukal (northern ballads) and the brother of Unniyarcha, another legendary warrior figure of the same ballads.
He was born in Puthooram Veedu family in the Malabar region of Northern Kerala.
Popular culture
Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, the Malayalam movie released in 1989, shows a different angle of the folklore, which is not true.
