Arundinariae is a tribe of bamboo in the grass family (Poaceae). These woody bamboos occur in areas with temperate climate in Eastern North America, Subsaharan Africa, South Asia and East Asia, and form a lineage independent of the tropical woody bamboos (Bambuseae) and the tropical herbaceous bamboos (Olyreae).[2]
Within the bamboos, the Arundinarieae are placed in their own supertribe, Arundinarodeae, and contain a single subtribe, Arundinariineae, with 30 genera:[1]
