Bangladesh–Greece relations refer to the bilateral relations of Bangladesh and Greece. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in March 1972, when Greece became one of the first countries to recognize Bangladesh.[1]

Diplomatic representation
As of 1980, the Bangladeshi ambassador in Belgrade was accredited to Greece.[2]
High level visits
In 2013, former Greek Minister of Public Order and Citizen Protection Nikolaos Dendias paid an official visit to Dhaka.[3]
Economic relations
Bangladesh and Greece have shown mutual interest in expanding the bilateral trade and investment. Bangladeshi ready made garments, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, jute products, frozen food and leather goods have been identified as products with huge potential in the Greek market.[4] Greece has also shown interest in importing ships from Bangladesh.[5] Bangladesh has sought Greece's cooperation in developing its agriculture, shipping, tourism, ICT and renewable energy sectors.[6]
Bangladeshi expatriates in Greece
As of 2009, there were about 20,000 Bangladeshi expatriates living in Greece.[5] The community is mainly based in the capital Athens.[7]
