Barcode of Life Data Systems (commonly known as BOLD) is a sequence database specifically devoted to DNA barcoding. It also provides an online platform for analyzing DNA sequences.[1] As of 2013[update], BOLD included over 2.5 million DNA barcode sequences from over 190,000 species.[2]
