Beijing–Tangshan Intercity Railway is a Chinese High-Speed Railway connecting the national capital Beijing and Tangshan in eastern Hebei. Construction on the railway was originally scheduled to start in 2009[1] but the completion has been delayed after a nationwide rail review following the 2011 Wenzhou Rail Incident. Construction was eventually started on December 29, 2015.[2] This railway also serves as the northern segment of the Second Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway, from Beijing East to Baodi South and then branching south to Binhai Railway Station.[3]

Overview

The length of this intercity railway is about 160 km railway line from the Beijing Railway Station terminus. It then roughly follows along the Beijing-Shenyang Expressway northbound through the Beijing's Tongzhou District before crossing into Hebei's Xianghe County. Next it crosses Tianjin's Baodi District to re-enter Hebei at Tangshan City's Yutian County and Fengrun. Finally it terminates at Tangshan Railway Station. Total line length of will be approximately 163 km, a total of seven stations, with a design speed of 350 km.[4]

Stations

This line starts at Beijing Railway Station, then Beijing East, Yanjiao, Xianghe, Dachang, Baodi South, Yahongqiao, Tangshan Airport before arriving at Tangshan Railway Station.[4]
