Belcarra (Irish: Baile na Cora, meaning "town of the confluence") is a village in County Mayo, Ireland about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) south-east of the county Town of Castlebar.

It is a growing village, which recently benefited from the addition of a sewage treatment plant and has had many new houses built in its centre over the last few years.

There are a number of shops in the village, including two general stores, two bars and there is a petrol station, hardware store and post office.

It has done well in Tidy Town competitions over the years and has a fine church (St. Annes) and community centre. The community centre plays host to several very strong clubs including a martial arts club, and a Foroige Club organised for the youths of the village. There are also parent and toddler meetings on week days, and evening music lessons in the centre.

It was twinned with Belcarra, British Columbia, Canada in June 2007.

From Nov 2011 there is also a village website www.belcarra.ie

During 2012 a new Sports Hall was built beside the Community Centre. It will be officially opened early in 2013.

Notable residents of Belcarra include Irish mathametician Cian O'Brien, and English biologist Joshua Tammaro
