Life and career

Milner was born in England. He lives with his family in Hampton, London,[1] and attended Teddington School.[2]

Milner got his start in the Hammer & Tongs film Son of Rambow which was released in 2007. He has since appeared in the made-for-TV films Who Killed Mrs De Ropp? and My Boy Jack. He also appeared in the film adaptation of the David Almond book Skellig which was released in the UK in 2009. In 2009 he starred alongside Michael Caine in the film Is Anybody There?, and also took on the role of Ian Dury's son Baxter in the biopic, Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll which was released in the UK on the 8 January 2010.[3] He played the role of young Magneto in X-Men: First Class.[4]

"It was very easy working with Bill because I don't regard him as a child actor. I regard him as an actor who's a child. The difference is you feel absolute confidence in him. You don't feel he's a child. You can depend on him. He's quite extraordinary. Of course, he'd never been in the theatre. He'd only been in an amateur dramatic society. So he didn't have any theatrical baggage to get rid of. He's a natural little boy.... He was absolutely essential." – Michael Caine on Milner's performance in Is Anybody There?, Boston Globe, 3 May 2009.[5]

Bill has said he is working on his debut mixtape which includes features from Gucci Mane, OJ Da Juiceman, Libby, and 2 Chainz.

In 2013, he plays a school boy in the video of Mind Mischief, by Tame Impala.
