Bilsen is a municipality in the district of Pinneberg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Bereits vor mehr als 850 Jahren wurde das Dorf Bilsen zum ersten Mal 1148 urkundlich erwähnt. Es gehörte jahrhundertelang einem Hamburger Kloster.
Heute hat Bilsen etwas über 710 Einwohner. Es gibt das "Jagdschloss Waldfrieden ", ein bedeutendes Romantikhotel, den größten Jungpflanzenbaumschulbetrieb der Welt "Kordes", den Versicherungsschadenhändler Wilhelm Mohr und die bedeutendste Pferdeklinik Norddeutschlands Dr. med. vet. Dirk Fister.
