The British Council of Shopping Centres (BCSC) is a non-profit trade association in the United Kingdom serving the retail property industry.

Overview

Covering all shopping formats (high street, shopping centres, retail parks) and all locations (in town, edge of town, out of town). Membership is a cross-section the industry with retailers, property developers, architects, shopping centres and local government authorities amongst others. Relevant to public sector and private sector (retail and property) members, it combines an internal forum with a collective industry voice on behalf of its members.

Aiming to foster a professional, socially responsible and progressive retail property industry while enhancing members' commercial advantage through networking events, educational programmes, research publications and government policy influence.[1][2][3]

It was founded in 1983, and it is headquartered in London.[2] Its Chief Executive is John Coyne.[1][1][4]
