Bush's Chicken! is a small fast food restaurant serving fried chicken. The company is headquartered in Austin, Texas and has over 60 corporate and franchise locations in Central, South, and West Texas.[1]

The first Bush's Chicken was opened in 1996 in Waco, Texas by Keith Bush.[2] The chain was sold to Hammock Partners, L.L.C. in 2005. The headquarters was moved to Austin that same year. In 2011 Keith Bush's son, Corey Bush, purchased 3 of the chain's restaurants.[3]

Menu items include fresh fried chicken (using a special marinade), fried okra, French fries, mashed potatoes, white cream gravy, green beans, creamy cole slaw, corn on the cob, jalapeño poppers, freshly baked yeast rolls, and macaroni and cheese. Bush's Chicken also sells sweet and unsweet iced tea by the gallon jug.[4]

Most locations have a dining room. Customers can also order food through a multi-lane drive through system that utilizes car hops.[1]
