Castellón Airport is a small general aviation airport in Castellón de la Plana, on the mid-east coast of Spain, about 68 km (42 mi) north of Valencia.

Airlines and destinations

As of October 2012, it has no scheduled passenger service. The brand-new Castellon-Costa Azahar Airport was built in the hope of receiving international flights and was opened in March 2011; it was hoped that flights would begin in 2012, but it lay unused before Ryanair and Blue Air eventually began services[citation needed] in 2015. There is no plan to close the old airport and it will continue to receive general aviation flights.
