Chad competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This was the nation's eleventh appearance at the Olympics, except for two consecutive editions, the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal because of the African boycott, and the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow because of the United States boycott. Two athletes, all females, were selected to the team, competing only in athletics and judo, respectively. Sprinter Hinikissia Ndikert became the only athlete from Chad to compete at her second Olympics. Judoka Carine Ngarlemdana was the nation's flag bearer at the opening ceremony. Chad, however, has yet to win its first Olympic medal.
