Curtis M. Scott (died August 19, 1992, age 32) was a game designer known for his work on role-playing games.
Career
Curtis M. Scott wrote The Complete Spacefarer's Handbook and FR12 Horde Campaign for Dungeons & Dragons, the GURPS Conan and GURPS Humanx sourcebooks for GURPS, and co-wrote Cyber Hero for Hero Games.[1] Scott also worked on The Cyclopedia Talislanta series for Talislanta.[2] Scott had also taken on a major project for TSR's Dark Sun campaign world.[1] For several years, Scott and his wife, Mary, organized the annual CoastCon gaming and science-fiction convention in Biloxi, Mississippi.[1] Scott had been accepted to a computer-science program at Carnegie Mellon University.[1]
On his way to the 1992 Gen Con/Origins game fair, Scott died in a car accident.[1] He was killed on August 19, 1992, at the age of 32.[3] He was survived by his wife Mary and their son.[1]
