Deesha Dyer is the White House Social Secretary. She has served as Social Secretary since April 27, 2015. She replaces Jeremy Bernard, the first male social secretary. Dyer, was Bernard's deputy, started working at the White House in 2009 as an intern in the Office of Scheduling and Advance. She is the Obama administration's third social secretary and the second one of African-American descent. Before working at the White House she worked as the executive assistant at the Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust and a freelance writer at the Philadelphia Citypaper.
