Dubovsky District (Russian: Ду́бовский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,993.2 square kilometers (1,541.8 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Dubovskoye.[1] Population: 22,983 (2010 Census);[3] 24,051 (2002 Census);[6] 25,371 (1989 Census).[7] The population of Dubovskoye accounts for 37.2% of the district's total population.[3]
