Durga Das Basu

Durga Das Basu is a jurist in India. He is the author of the Commentary on the Constitution of India and Casebook on the Indian Constitutional Law.[1] He is a recipient of the civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan.[2]

He has been awarded honorary doctorates by more than six universities in India along with a doctorate of law from the University of Calcutta.[citation needed]
