Edan Portnoy, better known mononymously as Edan, is an American alternative hip hop artist from Rockville, Maryland.[2] He is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music.[3]

Career

Edan released the first album, Primitive Plus, on Lewis Recordings in 2002.[4] It was described by The A.V. Club as "one of the year's most promising debuts".[5] He released the EP, Sprain Your Tapedeck, later that year.[6]

His second album, Beauty and the Beat, was released in 2005.[7] It features vocal contributions from Mr. Lif and Insight.[8]

Edan released the 29-minute mixtape, Echo Party, in 2009.[9][10][11]
