Eindhovens Dagblad is a Dutch newspaper oriented towards the city of Eindhoven. In 2008 it had a circulation of 105,866 copies.[1]

The first issue appeared on December 23, 1911 under the name Eindhovensch Dagblad. In 1963 Eindhovensch Dagblad was bought by the owner of its competitor Oost-Brabant. They fused and continued under the name Eindhovensch Dagblad. A year later they fused with the Nieuwe Eindhovense Krant, and had a minor change in name, to the more modern Dutch, Eindhovens Dagblad. In 1967 it was bought by Verenigde Nederlandse Uitgeversbedrijven (VNU), which also acquired the Helmonds Dagblad. In 1993 Helmonds Dagblad stopped being published and Eindhovens Dagblad was also introduced in Helmond. In 2000 VNU sold its publishing group to Wegener.[2]

In 1994 Eindhovens Dagblad was the first Dutch newspaper with an internet publication.
