The Eldean Covered Bridge spans the Great Miami River in Miami County, Ohio and was built in 1860.[2] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.[1]

It is an example of a "Long truss" bridge, i.e. of design by Stephen H. Long.[2]

At 224 feet long for its two spans, it is the longest surviving example of its type.[3] The Old Blenheim Bridge, in New York, with a total length of 232 feet in a single span was longer but was destroyed by a flood in 2011.
