Evgeny A. Korovin

Evgeny Alexandrovich Korovin (18 (30) September 1892 – 23 November 1964), was a famous Soviet jurist specializing in international law.

Biography

1915 — graduated from Moscow State University, Faculty of Law. In his early career, Korovin lectured in numerous universities and institutes of higher learning in Moscow, including the Diplomatic Academy.

1923 — Professor of law, Moscow State University. At this time, Prof. Korovin was also an assistant of the Institute of Soviet Law, the forerunner of the Institute of State and Law of the Soviet Academy of Sciences.

1935 — Member of American Academy of Political Science.

1938 — Defended doctor thesis LLD (habilitation) in law. From 1945 to 1946, Korovin worked on the United Nations Preparatory Commission.

Worked in the military legal academy of the Soviet Army.

1946 — Corresponding Member, Soviet Academy of Sciences.

1957 — Member of Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague.
