Detail of relief from the west side of the Ara Pacis in Rome. Four <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flamen" class="extiw" title="en:Flamen">flamines</a> wearing on their heads galerus and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apex_(headdress)" class="extiw" title="en:Apex (headdress)">apex</a>.
According to Ryberg, these are the three flamines Maiores and the flamen Divi Iulii (Inez Scott Ryberg: Rites of the State Religion in Roman Art. Memoirs of the American Academy in Rome, Bd. 22, American Academy in Rome 1955, p. 44f).
Perspective has been corrected.
