Summary

Episcopal mansion at the Eugen-Bolz-Square in Rottenburg am Neckar (District of Tübingen, State of Baden-Württemberg, Germany). The Palace was built in 1657/58 under the Barons of Hohenberg. The building with two wings and remarkable crow-stepped gables served the Jesuit order from 1691 to 1773 as course of lectures with a grammar school. Subsequently it was the domicile of an Austrian authority and from 1806 on it was the domicile of an authority of the Kingdom of Württemberg. When in 1821 the Diocese of Rottenburg was founded the palace became the episcopal administrative centre.
