Summary

Drekin is a wooden <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Faroe_Islands" class="mw-redirect" title="Faroe Islands">Faroese</a> rowboat, it belongs to one of the rowing clubs from <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/T%C3%B3rshavn" title="Tórshavn">Tórshavn</a>, Havnar Róðrarfelag. The boats of Havnar Róðrarfelag are characterized by the dragon head in the front part of the boat and by the white colour and blue stripe on top of the boat. It participates in the rowing competitions in the Faroe Islands every summer. This photo was taken after the race for this kind of boats at the Joansoka Festival in <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Tv%C3%B8royri" title="Tvøroyri">Tvøroyri</a>, <a href="//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Su%C3%B0uroy" title="Suðuroy">Suðuroy</a> on 25 June 2011. Drekin became number 4 in this race, in an earlier race at the Sundalagsstevna Drekin was the winner of 5-mannafar for boys.
