Summary

This image of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endeavour_(crater)" class="extiw" title="w:Endeavour (crater)">Endeavour crater</a> was taken from the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_Reconnaissance_Orbiter" class="extiw" title="w:Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter">Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter</a> on March 7, 2009. Endeavour is an <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/impact_crater" class="extiw" title="w:impact crater">impact crater</a> located in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meridiani_Planum" class="extiw" title="w:Meridiani Planum">Meridiani Planum</a> which is near the equator of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars" class="extiw" title="w:Mars">Mars</a>. Endeavour Crater is 22 kilometers (14 miles) in diameter and starting in August of 2008 was the destination for the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_Exploration_Rover" class="extiw" title="w:Mars Exploration Rover">Mars Exploration Rover</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opportunity_rover" class="extiw" title="w:Opportunity rover">Opportunity</a>. This image includes annotations showing the position of Opportunity and names for the craters Iazu, Endeavour, and Victoria.
