  • <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columnar_epithelia" class="extiw" title="w:Columnar epithelia">Columnar</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canal_of_the_cervix" class="extiw" title="w:Canal of the cervix">endocervical</a> epithelial, with an abundant light-pink cytoplasm, is seen centrally and adjacent to pale <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/endocervical_mucus" class="extiw" title="w:endocervical mucus">endocervical mucus</a>.
    • Endocervical cells are a common finding on endometrial biopsies, as the physician obtaining the tissue sample invariably scrapes some off in the process of accessing the uterine cavity.
