Summary

Marian sits beside this massive female Leatherback to demonstrate it's size. The turtle was radio-tagged after laying (image taken on Matura beach, Trinidad).

I have a fascination with these charismatic chelonians.: they are huge, supremely designed, very endangered AND are part of Scotland's Wildlife Heritage!

Every year small numbers of large Leatherbacks visit the Celtic Sea to feed on the bloom of Jellyfish.
