The portrait shows Franz Rudolf von Frisching in the uniform of an officer of the Bernese Huntsmen Corps (military unit). In German: Jäger Corps. This is the only known painting that shows the uniform of an officer of the Bernese Huntsmen Corps of the 18th century in all its details. The painting is by Jean Preudhomme (1732-1795). It is signed and dated on the lower right hand side (1785). Oil on canvas (92,5 x 73,5 cm). Private collection, Switzerland
