Showing the Duke with the Order of the Garter on his coat. Measurements: 126.5cm x 101.0cm. Provenance: Most probably the family of Henry, Duke of Cumberland. In 1960 with Needham's Antiques Inc., New York who sold it to a private collection in the United States of America where it was until its sale through Christie's, New York on 19th May 1993. On 19th May 1993 sold by Christie's New York, Park Avenue in sale "7680 - Important and fine old master paintings" as lot 34 (estimate: $50'000 - $70'000) to a private collection in Switzerland.
