The armistice will only be signed the next day (June 22), Hitler being absent, by General <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilhelm_Keitel" class="extiw" title="en:Wilhelm Keitel">Keitel</a> on the German side and by General <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Huntziger" class="extiw" title="en:Charles Huntziger">Huntziger</a> on the French side.
