A forestry swing machine at work in Kaibab National Forest, Arizona, United States. The crawler track machine here is a modified John Deere 2054 with a Waratah harvester head attachment. Commonly the high ground clearance 2054 swing machine is used as an excavator, but this one is modified into a DHSP forest machine and is used as a harvester here (DHSP = "Deere Hitachi Specialty Product", by the Deere-Hitachi Construction Machinery joint venture, cf. <a rel="nofollow" class="external autonumber" href="http://www.deere.com/en_US/cfd/forestry/deere_forestry/info_center/feature_stories/excavator_forest.html">[1]</a>). – The Kaibab (pronounced kie-bab) is one of six National Forests in Arizona operating under the care of the USDA Forest Service.
