Summary
This statue of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Henry_(folklore)" class="extiw" title="w:John Henry (folklore)">John Henry</a> (The Steel-drivin' Man of song and legend) stands alongside <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Virginia_Route_12" class="extiw" title="w:West Virginia Route 12">State Highway 12</a> south of the town of Talcott, in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summers_County,_West_Virginia" class="extiw" title="w:Summers County, West Virginia">Summers County, WV, USA</a>. The statue is placed above the Big Bend tunnel on the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chesapeake_and_Ohio_Railway" class="extiw" title="w:Chesapeake and Ohio Railway">C&O</a> railroad where many believe the Man vs. Machine competition originally took place.
