Wood engraving, 7 x 11 in. / Drawings and Prints Collection / Scope and contents: A paddle steamer, possibly the Devonport ferry arriving in the harbour, while a large liner to the right (the Mariposa) is drawing out from the wharf, with smoke pouring from its funnel and is probably the mail steamer referred to in the title.
