Summary

This Mortar and Pestle is around 100 years old. Given to my grandmother at her wedding.

Obviously it has been used thousands of times and can be used thousands more. Made from heavy bronze alloy, besides its medium size it weighs 2.7 kg (5.9 lbs). It is hand carved.

It was used traditionally in Greece to crush/grind/mix hard grains or seeds for cooking purposes. It's still in use.
