THEMIS daytime infrared image mosaic showing the central portion of the broad, low-lying shield volcano Syrtis Major Planum, just north of the equator in the eastern hemisphere of Mars. The calderas Nili Patera and Meroe Patera are visible to the upper left and lower right of center, respectively.
