Summary
Unusual <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesoscale_Convective_System" class="extiw" title="en:Mesoscale Convective System">Mesoscale Convective System</a> over land, that affected eastern Great Lakes, Upper Ohio valley, and northern Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States in 2003. Tropical cyclone look-a-like vortex was in fact the meeting of a supercell <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hook_echo" class="extiw" title="en:Hook echo">Hook echo</a> region and a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/squall_line" class="extiw" title="en:squall line">squall line</a>.
