Summary
Artist's rendering, from NASA, of the European Space Agency's Rosetta spacecraft, depicted in its in-flight configuration. The Rosetta mission, the first dedicated in-orbit study of a comet, employed the use of a large spacecraft to orbit the comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko, using its unique, purpose-built instruments to study the characteristics and nature of comets in the solar system, using 67/P as its subject of study.
